Project extension
- If completing the work on the project requires an additional period beyond the original period without any additional financial obligations, the principal investigator must submit a preliminary extension request to the Unit 60 days before the end of the project using form NSTIP_1, including the following documents:
- A financial report setting out what remains of the approved project budget.
- A technical plan for the extension period.
- A scheduled and detailed budget for the extension period, without counting rewards for the research team or the project manager.
- No request for an increase to the project budget.
- The extension period is subject to the same technical and financial regulations governing the work on the project during the original project period, provided that it does not include:
- Disbursing rewards to the researchers or the project manager.
- A change in the objectives of the project.
- An increase in the budget.
- A project may not be extended more than once.
